Center for Research and Technology -Hellas (CERTH), founded in 2000, is one of Greece's leading research centers and is among the top 20 research institutions in the European Union in attracting funds from competitive European programmes. With its many years of experience, CERTH is demonstrating significant scientific and technological achievements in many areas such as Energy, Environment, New Functional Materials, Industrial Processes, Information Technology, Telematics, Telecommunications, Transport, Agrobiotechnology, Health Sciences as well as in various interdisciplinary scientific and technological areas related to the above. In #TTB, CERTH participates with the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT).

The main objective of HIT is to conduct and support applied research in the Transport Sector in Greece. The Institute has recently started its research activities in the field of tourism (Sector D) with the analysis of the combined transport and tourism service chain, the use of new technologies and innovative tools for integrated sustainable tourism development, the development of intelligent algorithms and personalized services to support it, as well as related innovative business and entrepreneurial plans.

The CERTH/HIT participates in the project as a technical partner and operates as an intermediary for the transfer of know-how from the European experience (participation in sustainable tourism and mobility projects, routing and information services, conclusion of agreements, evaluation of implementation). The role of HIT is also crucial in terms of evaluating the project and the first phase of benefits. At the same time, it will contribute to the further exploitation of the project after the end of the funding and its use as a guide towards the general enhancement of the city's visibility with the potential for expansion throughout the Region.
